Call for Papers

The International Conference of the Chilean Computer Science Society invites the submission of papers describing original, previously unpublished work in all areas of computer science.

Background and Location

This 31th edition of SCCC is co-located with the Jornadas Chilenas de Computación (JCC). The SCCC is a forum for the presentation of recent original work and an oportunity for students and reasearchers to extend their research network. The 31th version of this event will be held in Valparaíso, Chile, in November 2012, and will be organized by the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. The conference is part of the "Jornadas Chilenas de Computación 2012", a wider national-level event that comprises a number of conferences and workshops.

Invited Speakers

  • Fabio Casati (University of Trento)
  • Tom Dietterich (Oregon State University)
  • Gonzalo Navarro (University of Chile)
  • Moshe Y. Vardi (Rice University)

Submissions of 2-page extended abstracts will be open until (June 29) July 8, 2012. Submitted papers will be reviewed by at least two members of the program committee. They must be written in English and formated in two-column letter format following the guidelines of CPS Proceedings. Futher instructions are available at http://www.computer.org/portal/web/cscps/formatting

Author Registration

At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register by October 19, 2012, and attend the conference to present the work. Authors who submit papers are implicitly assumed to agree with this requirement. Failure to do so will imply the removal of the paper from the program.
