XXIV Encuentro Chileno de Computación (ECC-2012)

Background and Location

The XXIV Encuentro Chileno de Computación, ECC will be held in Valparaíso, Chile, in November 2012. The event is part of the Jornadas Chilenas de Computación 2012, a wider national-level event that comprises a number of conferences and workshops. The ECC-2012 is an opportunity for researchers, students and professionals to share ideas and network. Authors are invited to submit papers describing original, previously unpublished work in all areas of Computer Science.


Contributors are invited to submit a full paper, 10 pages, including title, abstract and references. An appendix, beyond the 10 pages, may be added and may be read at the reviewers' discretion. Papers must be written in Spanish, English or Portuguese.

The document must be formatted using Times 10, for the text, and Times 12, for the titles. The page size must be 8 1/2" x 11", letter USA. Pages should be unnumbered. Paragraphs must be justified. The specification for the margins is as follows: top 3,5 cm, bottom 2 cm, right and left 2,5 cm, respectively. The first page must contain the title of the paper, the name of the authors, affiliation and addresses, as well as an abstract and keywords that capture the essence of the topic.

Author Registration

At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register by October 19, 2012, and attend the conference to present the work. Authors who submit papers are implicitly assumed to agree with this requirement. Failure to do so will imply the removal of the paper from the program. Each article must have at least one full registration associated.

  • Notification of acceptance/rejection: September 14
  • Camera-ready copy due: October 1
